La Grange Gite offers you oodles of green space, 6 acres of woodlands and a small lake. Lovely accommodation to meet the needs of couples and family groups. (Child friendly)
Accomodation :
A large traditional house with 4 bedrooms. 1 double bed, 1 twin bedroom and 2 single bedrooms, 1 is on the ground floor. 2 shower rooms, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. sleeps 6 only , Courtyard garden , large table and chairs with a stone built BBQ. Le Grange is ideal if you require a single bedroom on the ground floor with a WC and shower room. La Jolie Maison gite is opposite La Grange gite within the same courtyard which sleeps 6, should you wish to book 2 gites together accommodating 12 guests in total.
Quality bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.
We paid particular attention to purchasing quality matresses. Medium hardness, Air sprung pockets with memory foam tops as we know how important it is to get a good nights sleep.
A large games room including a Pool table, WiFi a wide variety of english books, Board games, childrens games, toys and comfortable sofas. “Great to relax in after a day out sightseeing."
The outside space includes table tennis, badminton, swings and a solid climbing frame with slide and a play area. A swing down by the lake and seating to watch different kinds of wildlife around the little lake.
We live on site in a separate cottage with our own private garden with 2 goats, 5 cats, 2 chickens, 2 miniature Daschunds and 2 scruffy little rescue dogs.
Things to do in the surrounding area:
There are plenty of outdoor fruit and veg markets around, a list is available.
Brocantes (French car boot) most weekends. A list is available.
We have our own small lake in the woodlands.
Lac De Guerledan - Water skiing, Wakeboarding, Kayaking/ Canoeing, Paddle boarding, Quad bikes, Pedalos. A walk around part of the lake or a 45 kilometre bike ride. Boat ride around the lake with a meal. 30 minutes.
Adult Go Karting in Lamballe - 40 minutes.
Fishing is just 10 minutes away at Bos Merleac. A license is required. We can help you with this.
Le Mont St Michel is just 1h 40 away and is one of Frances most recognisable landmarks.
The closest beach to the North is Pleneuf-Val-Andre - 35 minutes. The closest Southern beach is Carnac - 1h 20. We love the north, Perros Guirec ( Pink Granite Coast) 1h 20
Saint Guillaume, Loudeac. Horse & Pony riding schools - 20 mins .
Les Aquatides Swimming pool in Loudeac with water slides and sauna - 20 mins.
Cycling - Geo caching ( You can download an app for this). There are cycle routes everywhere, including la Rigole d`Hilvern & Lac De Guerledan
Manoir de L`automobile, Loheac - One of the biggest car museums in Europe - 1h 30
