Children must be supervised in the garden.. This delightful, detached, stone-built holiday cottage, dating back to 1800, is situated in the Victorian village of Strathyre and is in the perfect location to explore and enjoy Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. There are spectacular views from the garden and front door and you can walk to the village shop, children’s play park, riverside and local pub, explore endless miles of forest trails or join the Callander to Killin Cycle Route. Fishing permits for the River Balvaig are available locally and there are several golf courses within a short drive, Gleneagles is only 50 minutes. There is also a free local tennis court and bike hire within half a mile of the property. The area is also rich in Scottish history with many stories relating to Rob Roy Macgregor, whose grave can be found in the kirkyard at Baquhidder. Within easy driving distance is Stirling, where you can visit Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. Perth is 1 hour away, Glasgow and Edinburgh are 1¼ hours. After you have spent the day exploring, relax in the back garden and enjoy the scenery.
