York 5 miles. Situated on the owners' working livestock farm in a rural location, is this stunning detached barn conversion near the village of Kexby in North Yorkshire. Set mostly on the ground floor, this cottage is in an ideal location for families and friends wishing to explore one of the most beautiful parts of the country. The decor in the cottage combines original features with contemporary touches all cleverly designed to make your stay comfortable and luxurious. There is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area, along with three bedrooms. These consist of a king-size double, a double with exposed beams on a mezzanine floor, which is reached by a spiral staircase from the twin bedroom, which intern has its own en-suite bathroom. This superb cottage has a lovely lawned garden complete with barbecue and picnic area, which overlooks fields, providing a very private aspect and the perfect place to relax with a refreshing drink, whilst planning the next days adventures. There is a wealth of things to do in the area, with the wonderful city of York only five miles away and there's a bonus of a park and ride facility only a five minute drive away from this lovely cottage. York has a plethora of visitor attractions such as the iconic York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, the Shambles, Castle Museum, Clifford's Tower, National Railway Museum and so much more you will have to return again and again! Visits to the Howardian Hills, which form an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Castle Howard, the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and the lovely Yorkshire coastline all make fabulous days out. This superb cottage is an excellent touring base for exploring this fabulous part of the country.
The city of York needs no recommendation, for it teems with interest for the holidaymaker. York boasts the Minster, medieval walls, boat trips on the River Ouse, York Races, museums (including the famous National Railway Museum and the Castle Museum), and the internationally-renowned Jorvik Viking Centre.
