Four Lagg is a beautifully renovated semi-detached cottage on the shores of the sea loch Loch Long. The location is unrivalled for scenery and is perfect for exploring the best of the Scottish Highlands as well as the ever-popular Isle of Skye. As you reach Eilean Donan Castle, iconic now around the world, sitting out on its island in the sea loch, you arrive into the wonderful shoreside village of Dornie. There’s a front and back garden to the property, perfect for you to walk around and simply gaze out across the water or up towards the mountains that surround you. Sheep, deer and pine marten come right down to the garden from the hills, and you’ll see golden and sea eagles soaring above. Inside the property the living/dining room is spacious, light and very comfortable, furnished with the owner’s exquisite handmade cushion covers and with views along Loch Long. The kitchen is adjoining the living/dining room and is large, modern and very well finished, there is a breakfast table as well as a utility room with door to the garden. On the ground floor you will also find the well finished shower room with walk-in shower. Upstairs there’s a kingsize bedroom and a spacious twin room. Both have gorgeous views across the loch and of the surrounding mountains. There is so much to see in this part of Scotland, and Four Lagg is in an unrivalled location to be able to explore it all. You can be on the Isle of Skye in 15 minutes, round to Glenelg and Arnisdale in 30 minutes, over to Lochcarron in a similar time and Applecross and Torridon only 45 minutes to an hour’s drive. You can walk in every direction from the property, along the shore to Eilean Donan Castle or up into the hills for some of the finest hiking you’ll find. There’s a pub a short walk away and a restaurant, so you can stroll back home after a bottle of wine, a rare opportunity in the Highlands. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
