Come and escape to Brook Cottage, nestled within the quaint village of Maenclochog at the foot of the stunning Preseli Hills with an abundance of fantastic walks including the Golden Road, an historic route said to date back to the Neolithic period 5,000 years ago. A short drive away, is the ancient burial chamber of Pentre Ifan, dating back to 3,500 BC, or you can take a walk on one of the many footpaths leading up Foel Cwmcerwyn, the highest peak in Pembrokeshire with breath-taking views around the whole peninsula. This detached stone cottage offers lots of character and charm, complete with wooden beams and a focal Rayburn in the kitchen. The light and airy open plan ground floor offers a great space to relax, dine or cook. Enjoy breakfast together before a busy day exploring, or celebrate that special birthday around the antique pine kitchen table. The dining area adjoins the living room which is perfect to relax in and watch a movie together or enjoy a good book in front of the log-burner. The historic former slate mining village of Rosebush is just a few minutes away where you can discover lots of footpaths and the Tafarn Sinc, a traditional Welsh pub complete with sawdust on the floor and the old railway platform outside. Brook Cottage is just a short drive to Newport Sands with its lovely sand dune beach and also within easy reach of the Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire coast. Travelling 15 minutes’ drive south, you will find the charming market town of Narberth with its many antique shops, gourmet dining and delicatessens just waiting to be discovered. Families can head to Hanger 5 Trampoline Park or visit the indoor water park, Blue Lagoon, both a 20 minute drive away. Oakwood, Wales’s largest theme park, boasts Wales’s largest wooden rollercoaster and is sure to keep families entertained, whatever the weather. The famous walled town of Tenby makes the perfect day out with its cobbled streets, sandy beaches, and stunning harbour, and should not be missed.
