Peacefully situated on a no-through lane in the delightful town of Beaminster this cottage is in the heart of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a variety of great places to eat and drink nearby. Nearby attractions include the Jacobean Mapperton House and Gardens (2.5 miles) and Coney s Castle (10 miles). The popular Georgian market town of Bridport (6.5 miles) is half a mile from the Jurassic Coast and features a choice of independent shops pubs cafes and restaurants. Along the coast you can enjoy the sandy beaches of West Bay (8 miles) Hive Beach (9.5 miles) and Eype Beach (9 miles). You can also visit Pilsdon Pen (6 miles) Lewesdon Hill (4 miles) and the bustling town of Lyme Regis (16 miles). On entering this delightful property you will find a spacious lounge with original features including a beamed ceiling flagstone flooring and a traditional wood burner set in a large inglenook. This is an ideal space to relax in with plenty of seating and a TV/DVD. There is a light and welcoming slate-floored dining room with a feature Victorian fireplace which provides an ideal space for sharing a family meal. The stylish kitchen is equipped with an oven microwave and dishwasher and has a glazed door overlooking the stream. The fridge/freezer washing machine and dryer are housed in the adjacent utility room. Three steps lead up from the utility room to the comfortable twin bedroom and the shower room with WC. A further couple of steps lead up to a single bedroom which has dual access to a large bathroom with roll-top bath and WC. Steep winding cottage-style stairs lead up to the large double bedroom which has a vaulted and beamed ceiling and a king-size bed. The spacious garden is just across the lane overlooking the church. It has a lawn trees shrubs and flower beds as well as a tiny pond. Although shielded by shrubs part of the walled boundary is open to the lane. There is parking on the lane subject to availability or further roadside parking nearby.
