This apartment is approached via a vestibule shared with the owner's home in the small hamlet of Grizebeck, Cumbria. It is the perfect place for a couple looking for a bolthole from which to discover this corner of Cumbria. The spacious entrance hall has plenty of space to store your outside gear. The stylish open-plan studio living space has a vaulted ceiling and has a contemporary feel with elegant sofas, one being a sofa bed, and lots of space to chill out and unwind after a long day. There is a Smart TV and from the windows there are views across the open, rolling countryside. The kitchen area has smart units with modern appliances to help you cook up a storm for your partner. There is a soft double bed in the corner of the room, so you can watch TV from the bed and wake up to the lovely country views. The outside area is shared with the owners, and is an enclosed patio area where you can sit outside and enjoy the afternoon sun. Just down the road there is a pub serving evening meals and local ales, and a garage with a small shop selling essentials. The market town of Ulverston is 6.5 miles away and has a wide selection of shops and restaurants to enjoy. It is also home to the Laurel & Hardy Museum. Just a short drive away are the western fells of the Lake District to explore either on foot or bicycle and the pretty Duddon Valley is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle. There is a beautiful beach at Silecroft to enjoy and the Cumbrian Heavy Horses are based closeby and offer beach rides which are very exhilarating! For a more serene day out take a boat trip up Lake Windermere on the steamer and cruise up the lake to Ambleside and Bowness. Whatever you choose to do, this excellent studio will be a relaxing place to return to. A great base for your holiday at any time of the year.
Grizebeck is set on the border of the Lake District National Park with spectacular panoramic views of the Duddon Estuary, Furness Fells and the Coniston mountains. Grizebeck is set in pretty countryside and superb for those wanting to spend some time away from it all. In the village there is a pub serving local brews and evening meals , the local garage has a small shop ideal for essentials.
