Positive: Matoulas beautiful little guesthouse lies nestled into a quiet corner of the main village of Methana. With views over the bay from the upper apartments and a nice terrace under the pine trees this is the most relaxing spot I have been to in a while. The apartment of Nea Aerides are newly renovated and have everything you might ask for, a small kitchenette, balconies with a view to the port, AC etc. There are smaller ones in the main house as well that keep the original Greek style with beautiful old floors combined with all the comfort you might need. The guesthouse is 2 walking minutes away from the beach and the closest shops and restaurants, as well as from the sulfuric springs of Methana. The actual highlight of this place is Matoula herself who receives you with the full load of hospitality and care. I’m not the only one who came for a night and ended up staying many. 100% recommended.
