Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location in proximity to the city centre and train station were good and it was nice to be out of the fuss of both. The rental company was polite, professional and responsive. The apartment offers a lot of space for extended stay and having the kitchen and washing machine was a plus. It was nice having televisions on both floors (had to ask for batteries for bedroom remote).

Negative: The entire apartment needs a spruce: there are water stains from leaks on almost all of the ceilings (both floors), the walls are dinged and stained in every room, the shelf under television was tearing off the wall, stains on the couch, and there is only broken furniture in the patio making this area unusable. The toilet did not flush properly and the overhead shower did not have hot water (even after maintenance came to look); so had to use handheld bath fixture for 9 days - not great. The bed is unbearably uncomfortable, very thin mattress where you can feel every spring and the bed creaks all night so did not sleep well entire stay. The walls between the apartments is egregiously thin - can hear every door creaking open, every conversation, television show, and music of the neighbors at all hours; and as the other half of the house is not rented by this company, there is nothing to be done except bang on the wall in the middle of the night when woken up. The neighborhood is mostly young people and families; however, there are a lot of people loitering and asking for money in the tunnel access to the street to the property and the park it sits on so did not feel safe as a solo female traveler or going out in the evenings.
