Summary: The cottage was perfect for our family of 4. Our kids enjoyed playing around the dock and we used the kayaks on 2 different days. Located within walking distance to several good restaurants. John Pennekamp state park just down the road.The cottage is tucked behind a Sherwin Williams paint shop, your GPS might get confused, look for the signs that Martha puts out so you can find the driveway back to the buildings.Only two negatives were the coin operated laundry/dryer and there is a wedding venue next door. We stayed during the week but still had a Monday and Tuesday night wedding that prevented us from enjoying the outdoor spaces (loud music), luckily the weddings ended at 10 pm so it didn't disrupt sleeping. Nights without weddings were peaceful and we could sit outside on the dock and enjoy the sunset and see some stars.Even with the weddings next door, we would stay again because the cottage, location, and rental price all suited our family's needs.
