Summary: We’re experienced world travelers and not easily impressed, but this beach house is as perfect as one can get and the owner was a great host. We had read a less than flattering review but decided to rent the place anyway because the review seemed dubious to us and we’re so glad that we did. It’s located in a new, exclusive, private and gated beach community, you can walk to restaurants, beach bars, and a swimming pool cocktail club (all right outside the gate!) as well as to the best beaches in Rincón was a breeze. The house is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The walls contain original tropical paintings and beautiful photographs taken by the friendly and talented owner, who treated us very well before, during and after our stay. We walked on the beach to the Sunset Village festival market with shops, restaurants and a beach bar to watch the awesome sunsets with piña coladas in hand. The Market also offers Spin classes and morning Yoga by the sea. When sharing our initial concern about that dubious review with a staff member, we were shown pictures of the horrible condition that they had left the place in and quickly realized that it was written out of spite because they were charged for extra cleaning. Upon leaving, we followed the departure instructions from the Guest Guidebook and we weren’t charged anything more than we should have.
