Constructed in 1987 and completely refurnished and redecorated in recent years, #109 Defender in Schooner Bay is comfortable and attractive with granite counters, modern cabinetry, new furnishings including complete entertainment center with 50 inch 4k Samsung Smart TV, stereo sound system (with Bluetooth to stream from your device), Hi-Def cable, CD and DVD players and Apple TV plus split system central A/C in all rooms. Located just outside of Christiansted, the property offers superb convenience to shopping, beaches, water sports, and restaurants (among the best in the Caribbean).
A major feature of the property is a complete property wide back-up power system that provides almost instantaneous reserve power if, for any reason, the utility company power fails.
St. Croix's weather is perfect year around and the beaches and reefs are among the most beautiful in the world.
Schooner Bay is conveniently located in Gallows Bay, near Christiansted, on St. Croix, USVI. The entire island can be easily accessed by car or jeep; we will be pleased to assist you with your auto needs. The Westside (Harbor View) pool at Schooner Bay offers a panoramic view of Christiansted Harbor and the reefs on the sea. The Eastside (Sea View)pool offers a beautiful sea view.
The villa features a very comfortable tropical motif. A nicely furnished 30' Gallery provides a view through the masts of the boats in the marina to the town, harbor and sea. #109 Defender in Schooner Bay is spacious and can accommodate up to 5 guests. Summary: This is my family's third year in STX over the holidays, and our first stay at Schooner Bay. The first thing we noticed was the amazingly clean smell as soon as we opened the door. Later when we met longtime housekeeper Carmel, we understood why things were so clean! This 2-bed, 2-bath condo is very spacious and well-appointed. We stayed for one month and can't say enough about our time in Tom's unit. Our 19-year-old twin daughters loved the walkability to several great restaurants (Bistro, Marias, No Bones), and we parents loved the safety of the area and condo complex. Overnite security guard right across the street from our unit was an added comfort. The TV started to go out a few days after our arrival. We were impressed with both Tom's responsiveness and property mgr Jonathon's quick action. He had the TV replaced and fully hooked up by the time we made it back from the beach that same day. The teens especially appreciated that while they were with us for part of the trip. They enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, and having music playing thru TV. I worked for part of our stay and fast internet and backup generator were both reliable and a must. The outdoor gallery was also spectacular and we went spent much time out there, day and night. The flowers & greenery around the gallery (& entire complex) is so lush, that you almost feel like you are in your own private little corner of paradise. We can't wait to come back and stay again in Tom's condo!
