Daymer Bay is an extremely desirable location with so much on your doorstep. On calm days, Daymer is ideal for swimming, paddle boarding or beach combing, and an idyllic location for children to build sandcastles or explore the dunes and the many rockpools at low tide, and when the wind is right, this is a great spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing. A short stroll takes you to the site of the late poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman's grave at St Enodoc, the ancient chapel nestling within the dunes above the bay. For nature lovers there are seabirds aplenty and you might even spot pods of dolphins gambolling out on the Doom Bar at the mouth of the estuary. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce.
