Many neighbors know each other and are very friendly. Polar Rock is down the street from 2 neighborhood parks with playgrounds, The Swann Nature Preserve, Lakewood Amphitheater concert venue, Tyler Perry Studios, and one of the top 10 urban food forests in the world, The Urban Food Forests at Browns Mill!! There is so much to explore!
This neighborhood is in a transitioning phase. Many homes are under renovation, and there is a mix of old, shabby and new. If you are uncomfortable staying in an "up and coming" neighborhood, this might not be the right fit. If you have any questions about the area, don't hesitate to reach out! :)
