Summary: This apartment is truly a hidden gem, stuck away behind a lush, beautifully landscaped garden that still allows a wonderful view of Golden Gate Park, the Presidio and the towers of the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance (when they’re not shrouded in fog). The walk up the steep hill could be a challenge if you have limitations, but the reward was so worth it for me. The interior is nicely done and comfortable. It’s a studio, but spacious. I cooked most of my meals, but there are good neighborhood restaurants and groceries just a few blocks down the hill. I didn’t have a car, but the neighborhood is served by multiple bus routes and the N line within a walk of 5-10 minutes. Ilya is a delightful host, very friendly and helpful if needed. They live in the house above, but the setup provides plenty of privacy. I’ve finally found my go-to rental in San Francisco and am already planning my return.
