Welcome to our beautiful four-bedroom farmhouse in St Severin, France. This newly-listed home is a relaxing place for family holidays or get-togethers with friends.
Perfectly located in the gorgeous French countryside, our house is an ideal jumping-off point for exploring the market towns of the northern Dordogne, the wineries of Bordeaux, and some of the most beautiful villages in France, including the famous Aubeterre-sur-Dronne.
As soon as you arrive down our private driveway, you'll be struck by the stunning views of the surrounding countryside and sunflowers blooming in summer. The house is a converted stone barn nestled on a sprawling property, complete with a sparkling private in-ground pool to cool off on hot days. Surrounded by lawns, the house has a large undercover entertaining terrace for outdoor dining, as well as covered parking for two vehicles.
Inside, the house is charmingly decorated with rustic French accents including beautiful stone interior walls, timber beans and high ceilings. The four bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals, and the BBQ is waiting for your summer outdoor dining. The downstairs area is open-plan comprising a living room, kitchen and dining room with seating for eight, all opening onto the garden, as well as a bathroom and laundry. The four bedrooms, a second bathroom and study nook are upstairs, all with views of the countryside. It is the south-west facing half of a barn conversion but is not overlooked and feels quite private.
When you're not relaxing at the house or by the pool, there are plenty of things to do in the area. The house is 1km from the charming village of St Severin. Visit the local markets to sample fresh produce and enjoy fresh bread and patisserie from the local boulangerie. Further afield but an easy day trip are the city of Bordeaux and surrounding wine region, including St Emilion.
