Positive: - Very communicative and friendly host: prompt responses and provided detailed info about the apartment right on time - Very easy to get into the building and the apartment - Large areas for the bedroom and especially the bathroom (I've seen hotel rooms smaller than the bathroom itself) - Close to a couple of tram stops, so although is not quite central, it's easy to get on public transport - Comfortable temperature (though we had to keep the bathroom window open most of the time - more about that later - , our room was always nicely warm). - Loads of shampoo and shower gel bottles and a hair dryer are included.

Negative: - awful smoke (tobacco) smell. We're non smokers and though we booked a non smoking room, someone was definitely smoking before as if there was no tomorrow. We politely complained about this, and though the host offered to replace the towels (which wouldn't make any difference whatsoever, thus we said it was not necessary), we were expecting a more proactive compensation for this unpleasant experience. Host replied as if this came as a surprise, but now that I looked at some other reviews I realized that other guests experienced the same downside. - the apartment needs some care and attention. It's not in a very bad shape, but a new paint job would do the trick. Also consider fixing the curtains, half of the hanging hooks are already broken. - Noisy appliances. We had to unplug the fridge as it's impossible to sleep with all the noise it makes. - Impractical power outlets. If you wanna use the microwave, you need to drag it to the middle of the counter in order to reach the closest outlet. - (Very) low bed: very awkward bed that is a bit "lost" in the bedroom. Some may like, some may dislike it. - If you're a light sleeper, the noise from the street will disturb you. - Area and its surroundings is not that nice. Vienna seems to be a safe city, but the area where the apartment is located (kind of the suburbs) is not that nice.

Summary: OK if you're on a tight budget, but you might as well spend a bit more on a nicer place
