Summary: I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very good experience, especially for the price. The location is fantastic and, at first glance, the building looks grand and impressive. Just to set expectations—it’s not the Ritz, but it doesn’t pretend to be. The hotel is definitely dated in places, but everything was spotlessly clean, which mattered more to me. My single room was pristine: fresh bedding, clean floors, and a comfortable bed. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, a TV (slightly wonky on the wall but working), and a heater mounted high up. The corner sink didn’t have hot water, and the laminate floor showed signs of wear—likely from water splashes over time—but again, it was all very clean. The wooden window frame could do with a fresh coat of paint, and the blind was a bit tired, but nothing that affected my stay. I used the hotel as a base, and for that purpose it was ideal. The reception staff were polite and friendly, which made a big difference. For anyone travelling on a budget, this place is genuinely good value for money. I’d happily stay again.
