4 Bedroom Place in Redmond
Greetings!
Now that all of our kids have grown and moved out of the house, my husband and I are pleased to take this opportunity to share our family home with you. This is the main house on a 35 acre mini farm. The portion you will be enjoying is just over a half acre.
The farmhouse has 4 large bedrooms, each with a queen bed, bunk beds and arcade games in the area we call the mud room (bedroom 5 on the app), 2 bathrooms, a large living room, and an open space dining room/kitchen.
Most of the closets and many cabinets are locked and only for owner use, but all of the dressers are available for guests.
The upstairs bedroom has air conditioning in the summer. Downstairs rooms have fans available and an air conditioning unit in the main living areas. Our weather is usually mild enough throughout the summer that air conditioning is only needed upstairs, where the big, west facing windows are. In the winter, there are heaters in each of the rooms to customize your heating needs.
We encourage our guests to enjoy time in the outdoors by providing multiple spaces for gathering, eating, and playing. Disc golf and other activities are available. 2 gas grills and 1 charcoal grill/smoker are provided. There are also many unique things to see on the property - we are avid collectors of all things old!
In the late spring, summer, and early autumn months, you will be surrounded by lush grass areas and pastures with meandering irrigation canals that look more like creeks. Opportunities to view and hear wildlife abound!
Late fall, winter, and early spring bring shorter days and longer nights. This means time to relax by the fire and trips to the mountains for skiing and other snow sports.
Our home is just 2.4 miles from summer swimming and year round enjoyment at Cline Falls State Park, 5 miles from Redmond airport, 4 miles from Deschutes fairgrounds, 13.4 miles from Smith Rock State Park, and close to many other exciting location.
We do not allow guest pets as there are already several dogs, cats, and other working animals on the property.
Guest access
While we still live in this home with our dogs part time, we've transitioned it into a home for guests to enjoy. There are 2 other homes on the property with full time tenants and we still operate out of the barns and shop on the property. But your area is very private and you'll seldom see the rest of us unless you want to!
Guests have unfettered access to the entire home, decks, and adjacent yard with seasonal pond and canal. There is plenty of parking for several cars or even a boat or trailer (no RV parking available).
Guests do NOT have access to any of the other buildings, barns, garages on the property. Please respect the privacy of the owners and other tenants on the property and do not enter any gated areas or areas that are designated owner use or authorized use only.
Special note, although there is a large bathtub in the main suite, it is not in use. This is due to a local water shortage/shared well situation and the water has been turned off to the tub. There is a bathtub available for use downstairs.
Other things to note
If you are bringing small children who might need life vests, please let us know in advance. There are unfenced irrigation canals and ponds on the property.
