Get into the island atmosphere with fantastic ocean views from every room. Lounge on the wrap-around porch for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine with a cooling ocean breeze. Stroll to the beach for a walk, or bike ride, on 20 miles of beachfront. Set-up a tent and lounge chairs for a relaxing day on the beach. Buy fish, shrimp or crab from the nearby fish market, caught that day, and have a wonderful summer meal. Grill your favorite meats from Seven Seas Market (the best meats around) with corn-on-the-cob and a salad. It doesn't get any better! The house sleeps 9 comfortably and 10 with a high quality pull out couch on the second floor . The house is located an hour from downtown Houston and 45 minutes from Hobby airport. The layout is perfect with an open kitchen, family room (with breathtaking ocean view), dining area with a table that seats eight, half bath, utility room with washer/dryer and Master bedroom. There are four bedrooms each with a full bath. The master is located on the main floor with a king bed. The other three bedrooms are on the second floor. The Bedroom at the top of the stairs has a king bed, another bedroom with a queen bed, and the third bedroom has a double bed and single bed. There is a central TV lounge on the second floor that opens onto a fabulous second floor porch and is where the pull-out couch is located. Galveston offers so many things to do from Golf at the award winning course at Moody Gardens, wade fishing in the surf, rent a party boat at Waterman's Marina and enjoy an evening cocktail cruising Lake Como...jet ski, water ski, wake board in the bay...there is an activity for everyone. For families with young children, the house is the third off the beach and an easy walk. Kids love to dig in the sand, build sandcastles and swim in the warm gulf coast waters. They'll sleep like rocks...guaranteed! The house is the perfect family getaway!
