It was built by the Hext Brothers who immigrated here during the Gold Rush and changed hands several times before my Grandfather bought it almost century ago. It is located on a 80 acre working ranch with sheep and goats. It was a dairy for 50 years, providing jobs during the Great Depression for many escaping the Dust Bowl who headed West. The home has been fully renovated with modern day amenities including a spacious fully-appointed gourmet kitchen with a Viking stove and Double oven, large island perfect for gathering and an open floor plan leading into Dining Room. Downstairs den has a side slate patio that is shaded on hot Summer afternoons. Sit and relax under the stars at night and listen to the crickets and frogs. Hard to believe you are just minutes from Downtown Davis and the UC Davis Vet Center.
