THE SITUATION:
Our holiday home KerDesAmis is located in Pénestin, on the picturesque Presqu'île de Guérande, a peninsula south-east of the popular Golfe du Morbihan with its mild microclimate.
The KerDesAmis holiday home is located in the Haut-Pénestin district, almost directly by the sea. It is only a few steps to "our home beach" Plage du Loguy. The romantic coastal path leads to the long, gently sloping dream beach Plage de la Mine d'Or, which is an absolute paradise, especially for families, with wonderful views of the glittering sea. The KerDesAmis is in a very quiet location in a cul-de-sac with a private area that can only be used by residents - perfect for children.
Pénestin is a pretty little village not far from the coast. From the holiday home, you can reach the village centre in just a few minutes by bike or car. The village centre can also be reached on foot in 30 minutes via a beautiful hiking trail. There you will find restaurants, bars, fish and greengrocers, bakeries and a market twice a week in summer. All in all, Pénestin is a very popular, picturesque Breton coastal town.
Pénestin and the KerDesAmis are also easily accessible for short weekend trips (outside the main season). The airport in Nantes is only 70 minutes away by car.
THE HOLIDAY HOME:
Our KerDesAmis holiday home consists of a main house and an annexe.
On the ground floor of the main house, a spacious living and dining area with an open-plan kitchen (including a large and practical kitchen island) and fireplace invites you to relax. This promises cosy evenings with cooking and get-togethers at the long wooden table in the dining area. There is also a bedroom and a modern bathroom on the ground floor.
On the upper floor of the main house, our holiday guests will find a large master bedroom, another cosy bedroom with a sea view and a bathroom opening onto the garden with a large, almost floor-level shower (1.40 m by 0.9 m). The KerDesAmis holiday home is lovingly decorated with art. The sound of the sea and the wind in the large pine trees in front of the house contribute to the maritime atmosphere.
In the annex on the ground floor there is another living room with a pool table, TV and sofa (which can be pulled out to form a double bed measuring 1.60m by 2m). There is also a third bathroom with a large walk-in shower, WC and washbasin. On the first floor of the extension is the children's room with sea view, large play area and two bunk beds for up to four children. The four beds are each 0.90m by 2m.
THE OUTSIDE AREA:
The 700 square metre property is divided into a front and a rear area. In front of the holiday home there is a gravelled courtyard area where up to three cars can be parked. There are also six large pine trees on the boundary to the private path. A brand new boules court has been laid out, which invites you to play in the evening sun. There is a large garden area behind the house as well as a sheltered and covered terrace for al fresco dining. A large gas BBQ with wok insert, plancha and separate gas hob becomes an outdoor kitchen. All the garden furniture and cushions as well as the table tennis table are stored in the garden shed (cabane), which also houses the washing machine. You can also store your own bicycles or sports equipment in the cabane.

In the surrounding area, you can explore the picturesque alleyways of the little village of La Roche Bernard, nestled close to the Vilaine, the lively medieval town of Guérande, the fashionable Atlantic bathing pearl of La Baule, the harbour town of Saint Nazaire or Vannes, the diverse capital of Morbihan.
Natural landscapes are inviting, such as the regional nature park La Brière with its reed beds gently swaying in the wind and a labyrinth of canals and thatched cottages or the glittering salt marshes of Brittany near Le Croisic, whose pools reflecting the sky are worth a visit at any time of year - not just in summer when the bright white salt hills characterise the area.
Day trips from KerDesAmis are worthwhile to Nantes, the capital of the neighbouring department or to the mystical menhir fields of Carnac and the long sandy beaches of the Presqu'île de Quibéron and its wild and romantic coast, Côte sauvage. No matter where you go around the KerDesAmis, Brittany is simply beautiful.
Cycling tours, sailing, swimming in the sea, boat trips through the Brière, horse riding over long sandy beaches, letting off steam in the climbing park, visits to the aquariums worth seeing, searching for mussels and watching the anemones, starfish and crabs in the pools of water that remain in the coastal rocks at low tide or simply long walks on the beach - there is never a dull moment around KerDesAmis. you simply have to experience it for yourself.
