Summary: I really enjoyed my stay and I had booked the standard room with private bathroom. The room was very spacious, with lots of windows and a high ceiling, and included a small private balcony which made for a great quiet reading spot. The staff were all very friendly as well and sociable, which was something I appreciated. In the evenings in the reception/common building, they had some great blues and folk music playing in the background which really made the space feel very relaxing for me. My bathroom did have tiny little springtail bugs on the walls once in a while, but honestly it was fine and I considered this normal given the foresty area and the fixed open window slats for ventilation. Otherwise the bathroom felt very clean, even cleaner than some 3 star hotels I stayed at in Thamel. The only unpleasant thing that happened for me was unfortunately being there during their one huge thunderstorm after no rain there for 2 weeks. There was lots and lots of sudden rain and I soon found a couple roof leaks that led to wet spots on my bed. I told management at the end and they responded appropriately. Lastly, if you want to check out the view tower for sunrise, they easily arranged for a car. It was 1500 rupees which you can split with others who also happen to want to join in on the ride. Overall I would definitely book with them again! Very peaceful spot with lots of chill space on the property.
