Built in 1872, on the corner of Oglethorpe Avenue and Abercorn Street, guests of the Stathopoulos House are within a stone’s throw of the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, The Owens-Thomas House, Oglethorpe Square, and Colonial Park Cemetery. The location alone makes the Stathopoulos House one of the best vacation rentals in all of Savannah! This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury home was recognized as a Historical Building of significance in 1973. Stepping inside you’ll be immersed in the beautiful architecture of another time, including floor-to-ceiling windows, ornate moldings, and interesting décor. The Stathopoulos House has been completely modernized, offering all the luxuries of home for you to enjoy on a Savannah getaway. Amenities include FREE high-speed WIFI, extended cable with CNBC; ESPN; ESPN2, CNN, FOX; premium linens, towels, washcloth, soap, shampoo and conditioner. Inside, you’ll find a grand living area will lots of seating, a large flat-screen TV, and a bar area, perfect for entertaining. A queen sleeper sofa can accommodate additional guests. Restored pocket doors open to the Billiard room, which features a tournament-grade pool table, a dart board, and a stereo system. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in tons of natural light, and views of historic Savannah. The full, modern kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal, and has a dining table with seating to serve six guests. Need to serve more than six? The pool table can be converted to a large serving table, and additional tables and chairs are available on-site for larger gatherings.
