Positive: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: The Lodge at Solent, Southampton Stayed at The Lodge at Solent and was really impressed. The location is spot‑on for getting around — only a short drive to Fareham, Hamble, and the surrounding area, which made it ideal for work and exploring. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great shower and a really comfy bed that made for a solid night’s sleep. Plenty of parking on-site too, which takes the stress out of arriving late or heading out early. A big bonus is the bar/restaurant next door, which has a good atmosphere and makes grabbing food or a drink incredibly easy after a long day. Overall, a convenient, comfortable stay with everything you need and nothing to complain about. Would happily return.

Negative: Overall the stay was fine, but a couple of things let it down. The tea and coffee facilities were very limited — only two teabags provided for the whole stay, which felt a bit stingy. I’m sure I could have asked staff for more, but with a Lidl directly opposite, it was easier to just buy extra supplies myself. We also planned to use the swimming pool next door, which is part of the same chain, but were told we’d need to buy day passes at £45 per adult and £9 for a one‑year‑old. Nearly £100 just for a swim felt extremely expensive, so we skipped it. A decent place overall, but these points took the shine off the stay.
