Air-conditioned, 3 bedroom (second being family room with a double & 2 singles), luxury villa also with wifi and Docking Station to play music from your iPad/iPod/iPhone. Just 20 minutes drive from faro airport. Dunas Douradas is an upmarket, luxury development of some 270 properties, in the midst of umbrella pines & palm trees, situated by the beach between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. The resort is a safe, family-friendly environment, with a "Roman" communal pool and a children's paddling pool within the central facilities. Please note the pool area is enclosed and may only be accessed with a key fob. Temporary key fobs can be obtained from the main reception subject to a €20 refundable deposit.There is a pool bar, serving all-day food & drinks, which is also a focal point for early evening socialising, and a Reception facility which is manned from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, where the friendly staff will help you with anything from booking tours and discount golf to recommending one of the many excellent restaurants in the area. There are 2 tennis courts with a resident pro who can provide lessons for all ages. The resort is guarded by 24 hour security.

Summary: From the moment we made our enquiry to stay at this villa, booking and questions I had, Peter replied promptly and was more than helpful with his response. The directions to the villa are extremely easy to follow. The villa is fantastic, absolutely everything you could need is there, definitely felt like home from home. The villa is situated within the Dunas Douradas complex and is very peaceful. As you enter the front door, onto the ground floor are the bedrooms and bathrooms, with access to the pool and patio areas. Upstairs is the lounge, dining and a very well equipped kitchen, an outdoor balcony with table and chairs and beautiful sea views. There is a brilliant supermarket a few minutes drive away with everything you could possibly need for your stay. A 10-15 minute walk takes you to the fabulous beach and to Maria’s, a beach front restaurant and one of our favourites, we highly recommend ( though book a table in advance) A 5-10 minute drive to Vale de Lobo and a lovely square with a handful of fantastic restaurants and live music. We absolutely loved the villa and this area of Portugal. Thank you Peter, we will definitely return.
