We literally fell in love with Guadeloupe and this villa during a trip to the island in April 2016.
Our dearest dream would be to live there, but for professional reasons we have to wait a few more years. In the meantime, we have decided to rent the villa, to allow other people to enjoy it.
Our villa has been inhabited by a family for over 10 years, which gives it a real soul and a lot of charm and warmth.
By becoming the new owners in July 2016, we wanted to offer our guests high quality services, especially with regard to bedding.
This magnificent architect's villa dating from 2002 is located on the hill of Sofaïa, in a very quiet residential area. Its elevated position allows its inhabitants to suffer less from heat and mosquitoes. It is located on a 1700 m² plot and has a very beautiful tropical garden with a trampoline, and in which you can admire among other things a traveler's tree, a flamboyant, a banana tree, aloe vera, etc. .. and our charming bungalow.
Our villa has an exceptional view (perhaps the most beautiful in the district, as the photos attest) on the famous bay of Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin - with its islets of white sand, its turquoise water and its coral reef.
A few hundred meters from the property and accessible on foot, are the sulfur water showers very popular with Guadeloupe for its dermatological virtues in particular. Right next to it, you will have access to several hiking departures, which will allow you, among other things, to see the Saut des Trois Cornes, a pretty waterfall.
The Sofaïa district is located a 5-minute drive from the center of Sainte Rose. This city is ideal for those who seek a certain calm, far from the tourist places of the island, while being able to take advantage in all peace of the superb surrounding beaches (Cluny, la Perle, Grande Anse reputed as the most beautiful of the island ) and many shops that offer all the necessary amenities (post office, bank, pharmacy, doctor, supermarkets, tobacco, bookstore, etc.).
The leisure activities offered at Sainte Rose are numerous: ecotourism, nautical and aquatic sports, boat tours of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, fishing, catamaran, etc.
Sainte-Rose is ideally located:
- 20 minutes by car from Deshaies, a charming fishing town which attracts many visitors. For several years now, the city has been the location for the Franco-British series Murder in Paradise. You can also visit the spectacular Botanical Garden, located on the former property of Coluche.
- 30 minutes from Pointe-à-Pitre, its airport and its museums.
- at a reasonable distance from the main attractive places on the island (Soufriere, Parc des Mamelles, Crayfish Waterfall, Carbet Falls, Basse-Terre market, etc.).
