Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Very peaceful setting within the beautiful grounds of Brocket Hall. A richly furnished comfortable and well heated room. Once checked in at the Golf Club Clubhouse, independent entry to Melbourne House is with a key fob attached to the room key. Excellent shower over bath, but some may find the bath height a challenge.
Negative: Entry to the estate is cumbersome and the information provided unclear. We resorted to using the intercom, which worked best for us. The Ayots Green entrance was the only one available. Exit is via a keypad code. Parking in the courtyard of Melbourne House is limited, so if returning late expect to park in the Golf Club car park which is only a short walk away.
Summary: Unique Property (which we found at a discounted price) and perfect for our pre-Christmas visit to family and friends.
