Summary: We loved staying in Beatriz's Mermaid Cottage. It was perfect for my mother and I, who were in town to visit my daughter while she attends college. Apartment was small, but perfect for 2 people. The 2nd bedroom has a small twin bed and no closet, but for our 3 day stay, it was doable. The patio was so private, surrounded by plants and flowers. Kitchen was adequately stocked. Beatrix provided coffee, some bottles of water and all other kitchen supplies (garbage bags, dishsoap, papertowel, etc.). The TVs were connected via streaming services only (no local channels). We didn't watch that much TV, but it would have been nice to be able to watch location news/weather. Beatrix was a lovely hostess, very caring and accommodating, just a joy to interact with. The neighborhood surrounding the house could be a bit noisy at night, and we could definitely hear the BrightLine train when it went by, but the apartment and the patio were so private and secluded-feeling that we felt very comfortable there. We will be staying here again in the future.
