This is a cozy, rustic, lofted cabin with 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens). It is situated on a dirt road, in a quaint, private, family-friendly community. It comes equipped with a full kitchen that opens into the main living area with a wood-burning stove for cozy days/evenings by the fire. There is also a full-size washer and dryer located in the sunroom at the back of the cabin for your use. It is centrally located with easy access to popular Fryeburg Fair Grounds, snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and a 10-minute walk to the association's private beach! Summary: This is a lovely place to stay! Everything was nice and sanitary, had obviously been thoroughly cleaned before I arrived. Was so nice to have a washer and dryer, as this was in the middle of a longer trip! I had asked host if there was contact information to provide to my family in case of emergency; she does not stay locally but shared that police station is very close by and gave their non emergency number which provided a lot of peace of mind. Lots of nice recommendations for local places to eat. So many sweet touches of things you'd want on a vacation, such as books, games and puzzles, S'mores makings, dog leash and food bowls for folks who may have brought a pet, though I did not. Sadly, beach was under water, which I was given a heads up about and obviously not in anyone's control. Also not in anyone's control- mosquitoes were very bad. Though this is of course not anyone's fault, since there were so many other nice little touches, it would have been nice to have some bug spray and/or Citronella candle to use outside that would help to repel them. Because of this, and sadly rain the first day or so, was tough to spend much time outside.One thing that is definitely in need of improvement is the lighting in the downstairs bedrooms. Only one very dim lamp in each room. I realize some folks may not want a lot of light, but better to have the option for more and people don't have to use it, right? Personally I was not comfortable with this.
