Oakwood Forest Retreat is a quaint 'old world' mountain abode nestled snuggly on acres of pristine oak and pine forest. Overlooking the Lal Tibba (Landour) Ridge and Woodstock School on one side, to Wynberg Allen School across the valley, you see forest on all sides.
We are a cozy, quiet and secluded stay, far from the 'madding crowd' and the hustle & bustle of Mussoorie town. Instinctively you will feel rested, relaxed and rejuvenated.
As you descend off the main Mussoorie-Dhanaulti-Chamba national highway, the road plunges into the forest and descends 1000 feet before the Dhobi Ghat opens up ahead of you and you can glimpse the ridge to the North-West. This is Pari Tibba, a world familiar to Ruskin Bond fans. The flora and fauna is extant. You could stumble upon a Sambhar, Cheetal, Kakar, Wild Boar, Hare, Ant-eaters, Porcupines and the occasional leopard.
The hills are alive with birdsong.

Landour in Mussoorie
Landour is about 984 ft above Mussoorie and it lies on the east-west ridge connecting its western end to Mussoorie. Being built by the British Indian Army Landour has more of a European touch to it rather than that of Mussoorie. Landour is a perfect weekend getaway for the ones who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life and spend some quality time in the midst of the towering Deodar. Himalayan Oak, chirr pine, blue pine, West Himalayan fir, rhododendron and other Himalayan Trees. Landour is very famous for its colonial style architecture and high altitude points that give the travelers a delightful view of the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. People come to visit the Lal Tibba Hill and get to have the glimpse of the majestic landscape of the Garhwal Himalayas.
