A wonderful opportunity to stay in what was the Gate house to Glanbrydan estate. This unique property is situated in the Glanbrydan Park Estate which has a long and diverse history originally dating back to the early 18th Century. North Lodge is steeped in history with breathtaking views across Towy valley.

The space
We are very excited to start welcoming guests to North Lodge. North Lodge has been lovingly renovated with guests in mind. We look forward to guests enjoying what we believe is a luxurious retreat set in a peaceful location which is close to Llandeilo and Manordeilo. North Lodge sits in an impressive position at the entrance of the estate overlooking breathtaking views of the Welsh countryside. It has been thoughtfully furnished with comfort in mind.
Tastefully combining the old and new, North Lodge boasts original features such as parquet flooring and exposed brickwork, as well as more contemporary features such as USB charging points, Netflix and a coffee machine.
My property sleeps up to 4 guests (one king size bedroom and one twin bedroom). Set within the village of Manordeilo, guests can also benefit from being a 5 minute drive from Llandeilo town.
Ground floor:
As you enter the property, the first bathroom can be found to your right. Here you will find a spacious walk in shower.
The entrance doorway will take you directly into the open plan kitchen and dining area. The modern kitchen is generously sized, and provides everything you may need for home dining. Use of appliances include an oven, electric hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. Smaller appliances include a kettle, toaster and a coffee percolator. Dining table seating 4 guests.
From this area, you will enter the living room. This is equipped with large, comfortable corner sofa where guests can enjoy sitting in front of the wood burner as well as benefiting from a SMART TV. Wood for the stove will be provided for you, enabling you to enjoy the fire and the extra ambience it offers during those colder winter stays.
Leading on from the living room, you will access 'the reading snug'. This is the original entrance hallway to the property and includes one comfortable arm chair and table. Perfect for those that wish to enjoy some reading time away from the living/ dining areas.
First floor:
As you approach the landing, the main family bathroom will be to your left. Please mind your head on the doorway (another original feature of the property). The family bathroom includes a freestanding traditional bath and as with the bathroom downstairs, will also include some local and luxurious hotel sized toiletries provided by a local social enterprise Myddfai Trading Company.
The twin bedroom includes a freestanding wardrobe and bedside cabinet for storage. Guests can also enjoy views leading up towards the estate.
The master bedroom includes a King size bed, bed side cabinets and chest of drawers. The bedroom benefits from dual aspect views allowing guests to take in views of both the estate as well as the Tywi Valley. The bedroom also includes another impressive freestanding bath for that additional element of luxury.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property during their stay. Access to North Lodge is via a private road.
Other things to note
I wont always be around in person, however I have help managing my property through Pass the Keys. Lauren and Jason who live locally, will be on hand to deal with any queries, issues which may come up during your stay.
North Lodge is professionally cleaned and the linen/ towels are replaced with freshly laundered supplies between each stay. Remote self check-in gives flexibility for late arrivals, and 24/7 guest support is on hand should you need any assistance during your stay.
There will be some complimentary tea/ coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey. Fresh white bedding and towels are provided (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), as well as miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap.
Parking:
As you approach North Lodge, you will be able to see a graveled area to the left of the property and this can be used for parking. There is space to accommodate up to 3 cars.
Check in/ Check out:
Check in time is after 4pm and check out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time.
Please note you will be charged for lost keys, so please do be careful with them.
Travel Cot and High Chair:
A travel cot and high chair are available to borrow upon request, subject to availability and at an additional cost of £30. Please ensure you message beforehand so that we can arrange for these to be put in the property in readiness for your arrival. Guests will need to provide their own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet.
