Summary: The property was exactly as stated on the VRBO website. We spent 7 days/nights and went hiking into the Indian Peaks Wilderness and RMNP on 5 of those days. The hikes we went on ended at absolutely gorgeous mountain lakes and/or passes. The Peak to Peak highway is gorgeous! Saw big bull elk right next to the road on two separate trips to trailheads. The first evening of our stay we had a cow moose and her two calves walk right below the cabin deck. Overall, we ended up seeing 9 different moose and about 40 elk. The beds in the cabin were very comfortable. The sauna was a welcome muscle relaxer after hard hikes each day. The back deck lacked a great view due to trees, but it was still a great place to unwind at the end of the day. There is no grill on the premises, so we brought a small one to cook burgers/brats. The town of Nederland was wonderful. Three breweries, a grocery store, farmers market every Sunday. Not nearly as commercialized as Estes Park, which we thought was a good thing. It was a short, 5 minute drive to Nederland from the cabin. Overall, we had a great stay and are already talking about coming back, as there are countless more hikes we would like to do in the area.
