Positive: This is the best part of Tuscany in our opinion and the Relais is totally in the country. Guests are treated like a high class hotel. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. The proximity to Castelina in Chianti was perfect as we shopped there at the deli and grocery store. We were also thrilled to be staying in the middle of an active vineyard. We did not use the pool however many did and it was a beautiful scene with vineyards. The breakfast was very good with many options and we enjoyed eating while sitting outside with a beautiful view.
Negative: The air conditioning in our apartment was a little weak but we were there during a heat wave. Our apartment had very few plugs and no modern coffee maker or microwave. A modern coffee maker would have been nice as the Moka provided was very labor intensive. However I think people choose this kind of stay for the traditional experience.
