Rustic Elegance is your vacation home away from home, this listing is for the main floor of the house which consists of one bedroom, one bathroom, small walk-in closet, full service kitchen, dining area and living space with fireplace and a futon. The house is situated on five private wooded acres. The house is close to Talkeetna (ten miles) but very quiet and private for relaxing after fun filled days in Talkeetna town. Talkeetna offers many restaurants and pubs mostly with live music, quaint shops, music in the park and so much more. Activities include hiking, biking (we provide two bicycles and helmets for you use), flight seeing (ask about our discount with TAT), ziplining, fishing, boating, swimming and so much more. We are located two hours north of Anchorage and two hours south of Denali National Park. Talkeetna is a great location for fun and relaxation both. We offer two decks for you outside seating, on has a BBQ on it and lots of seating. The smaller deck is wonderful for a glass of wine or morning coffee, which we supply not only the coffee maker but the beans the grinder and creamer. Cubby's food market is only 3 miles away as is the hardware store, bank, drive through coffee shop, gas station and bank. There is an outside firepit with seasoned firewood for your use, smores anyone!! My husband and I built this house for visitors like yourself and we take pride in what we have achieved, it is a very comfortable home, and there is a fireplace in the living room for your comfort should you find Alaska a little chilly. We have the best view of Denali and numerous air services that will take you to the mountain and even land on a glacier, which may be the highlight of your Alaskan vacation. We also are very big on your safety, we have a land line at the house in case your cell phone doesn't work in Alaska, we have internet for you to keep in touch, we have first aid kit available and the house is hard wired with smoke detectors and CO2 detectors.
