It’s a picture, capped by the hilltop castle at Brolio. In fact, when you fancy a trip out, go and take a closer look at this ancient fort, and swing by the village of Monti, which is within walking distance, you will find a restaurant, bar and grocery shop here. This typical Chianti cottage with a private pool is part of the agriturism Trappoline, which produces it's own wine and oil. Our Thoughts Sangiovese all'Aia is a charming and cosy villa with plenty of character, set within striking scenery. You can sunbathe in the garden, lose yourself in a good book on the terrace, or, when the sun is high, beat a retreat to the cool lounge. We also think you will really appreciate the pool, which is a truly relaxing place to relax and refresh after a day’s sightseeing – and don’t miss the chance to taste some local wines, available on site. Notes Two bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one en-suite. There is a single bed in one of the rooms – this cannot be used to accommodate another person but may be used should two beds be required. The property is part of the Trappoline agriturismo, which offers wine-tastings. Oli and wine is produced here. Wine, extra virgin olive oil, grappa and vin santo can be purchaed at the agriturismo. Three other properties are located behind the villa, as well as the manager's property, but the pool and gardens are private to Sangiovese all'Aia. A small, internal road passes just below the pool area, but it is only used by residents of the agriturismo, so only the occasional car is likely to pass by. A small dog roams the grounds. Air-conditioning is included in the price. Parking - uncovered space available on site Pool The pool is raised with a terracotta sundeck to one side at the same level as the water – there are no steps into this pool. Below the pool is a lawn set with sun-loungers. Pool size 6.5m x 3.5m, 1.3m deep. Open mid-May to mid-September, weather permitting. There is another pool clients can use 50 metres from the villa. This pool is shared with 10 residents fro the agriturismo. Clients can use 1 sunlounger, chairs and sun umbrella at the pool. There is an outside shower. Pool size: 12m x 6m with a depth of 1,4 m. Open mid-May to Mid- September, weather permitting.
