Positive: This was hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in — and I’ve stayed in many across numerous countries. The hostess has lovingly transformed her childhood home into a series of self-contained apartments, each with its own unique charm. Many feature serene terraces with lovely views over the city, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. As an architect, I naturally view places through a design lens, and I was genuinely impressed. Each unit is slightly different in character but all are perfectly designed — beautifully balanced between form and function. The spaces are thoughtful, practical, spacious, comfortable, and exude a sense of calm. The craftsmanship is excellent, and every detail seems intentionally and intelligently chosen. The location couldn’t be better — an easy walk to all the restaurants, key sights, ferries, and even some lovely beaches. The hostess herself was exceptional — warm, friendly, generous, and immediately responsive. She truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The apartment was immaculately clean, the linens fresh, and everything was impeccably stocked. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.
