Welcome to our Lakefront home on Beautiful Little Platte Lake. 805 acres, all quiet and serene. Our home is located the the end of a private road with very little traffic. One of the best fishing lakes around. Please visit littleplattelake.org to acquaint yourself with the lake. PLEASE AVOID THE LOONS NESTING PLATFORM ON THE WEST END OF THE LAKE!!!
Just steps away from M22 and The Sleeping Bear National Park. Hike the famous Dune climb or take in a scenic view from the Pierce Stocking Drive. Attend nature talks and walks with the Rangers at the Platte River Campground. Kayak or tube down the Platte River with rentals available at The Honor Trading Post ( walking distance to us and they have great pizza and ice cream cones! ) or Riverside Canoes. Our Kayaks are available for you to use on our lake. The Cherry Bowl drive-in theater is just around the corner! The most beautiful beaches in America are within biking distance.
We provide beach chairs, beach umbrella, soft sided cooler, freeze packs and sand toys!
Visiting in the winter? Down hill skiing or snowboard at Crystal Mountain (20 mins away), cross country skiing, snowshoeing all right outside the door. Fishing? We have World class trout, salmon, walleye and bass! Some fishing gear is available for your use. You can also charter a fishing trip from Frankfort.
Honor is a small town with everything you need! Sweets Bar and grill, Platte River Inn, Papa J’s and Jim’s Joint for food. Honor Market has fresh meat and homemade brats.
Our Village is working hard to bring a new nature park with public access to the Platte River. It will feature handicapped accessible kayak and canoe launches, playgrounds and picnic areas, hiking trails and 1500 feet on the Platte River.
A new hiking trail up Mt. Minnie is just next door. The property was acquired recently by the Grand Traverse Land Conservancy and give you views of Sleeping Bear, Lake Michigan, Big and Little Platte Lakes. Traverse City is just a 30 minute drive east. Shopping, Festivals, Wine tours, breweries and great restaurants abound. Interlochen Center for the Arts is 13 miles east with an Amazing Concert line-up every year. Art classes and music to suit everyone’s taste. Beulah is right around the corner. Great public beach in beautiful Crystal Lake. Restaurants breweries and shopping. Frankfort is known for the best 4th of July fireworks and you can watch them from their public beach. It’s a quaint town with a ton to offer. Restaurants, shopping, Stormcloud Brewery ( just 13 miles south on M22). Leland’s famous Fishtown, Glen Arbor and Empire are just a short ride up the famous M22 scenic drive. Empire has a beautiful beach with a great play area for the kids and one of our favorite places to stop for a special treat is Grocer’s daughter chocolates! World class golf courses.
Our favorite place to go listen to live music anytime is easily Lake Ann Brewery! It’s a family friendly, outdoor venue and the stone house oven is just next door for wonderful food. Everyone is so friendly and the music is always great! St. Ambrose is a cider/mead and beer venue located just south of us. They feature live music and also are home to Sleeping Bear honey!!
There is something here for every season and every interest.
We are handicapped accessible with ramps and a roll in shower. All doorways are wide to accommodate a wheelchair. We also have a pack-n-play for the little ones.
We have a standby Generac generator just in case of a power outage, and a Property Manager close by.

There is an apartment above the garage with a separate side entrance that may occasionally be used by owner in summer. You will not be aware of me and I will not bother or interfere with your stay.
