This wonderful apartment is located in the heart of Shoreditch, just a 1 minute walk from Old Street station on the Northern Line and fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes. It is a 10 minute walk into the offices of London City. The flat has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a fabulous open plan living, kitchen and dining area. You will have full access to two rooftop garden areas with wonderful spots to sit, and sip a glass of wine during London’s long twilights and watch the hustle and bustle of Shoreditch below! This would be a perfect place for up to 4 people looking for a spacious place to stay in a trendy neighbourhood which is still easily accessible into the heart of Central London. The Space: This flat is located on the ground floor of a beautiful traditional building. There is a strong wifi connection throughout which will guarantee a happy stay. You are more than welcome to use the rooftop garden, which you can use your building fob key for access! This flat is larger than average in London (about 1000sq ft!) so it is very comfortable. It is, however, in a busy part of London, so can be a bit noisy up to 11pm. LIVING AREA / KITCHEN / DINING AREA This room is lovely and light thanks to the large window that allows plenty of natural light to come streaming into the room creating a bright atmosphere. The kitchen has everything that you would need during your stay if you fancy staying in one night and cooking a delicious meal. There are a range of cooking utensils, pots and pans, plates, cutlery and glasses. You are welcome to use our Nespresso machine, which we will provide coffee pods for. The dining table seats 6 people comfortably In the main living area there is a large sofa which is perfect for relaxing on after a long day out exploring what London has to offer. From here you will also be able to watch the TV which has freesat from Sky. BEDROOMS Both of the bedrooms have sumptuous European king size beds which will be spotlessly made up using white hotel quality linen. There is also plenty of space in the wardrobes for you to be able to hang your clothes up and store your belongs neatly away. In the master bedroom there is an en-suite bathroom, whilst the second bedroom has a desk. A great place to sit if you need to do some work during your stay. BATHROOMS The main bathroom has a bath with a shower attachment, toilet and sink. Whereas the ensuite to the master bedroom has a walk in shower, toilet and sink. Large fluffy white towels and toiletries will be provided for every guest. ROOFTOP GARDEN You have full access to two rooftop garden areas, a wonderful spot to sit, sip a glass of wine during London’s long twilights and watch the hustle and bustle of Shoreditch below. Guest Access: You will have access to the whole property. Linen, bed sheets, body lotion and shampoo will be provided. Interaction with Guests: My friends at City Relay are looking after my home while I am away. They're a management service team of Londoners who are hosts themselves. I trust them to give you a warm welcome! City Relay will look after you. We would like to mention the 3 methods for check-in: 1. You can meet us at our Central London Reception Desk in Earl's Court - next to Earl's Court Underground Station where we will provide a folder with all flat instructions, how to get there, tube maps, etc. and the keys to your apartment (The reception desk is open every day from 9am until 9pm). 2. You can book a Car Service through us. In this case, the driver will have the keys to your booked apartment and will take you there directly 3. We can arrange a check-in in-person at the flat. For a check-in after 8pm, a fee of £50 is applicable. Please let us know the most convenient way for you to do your check-in, so we can make your first day in London a good start! The Neighborhood: Welcome to the heart of Shoreditch! This flat is a part of the bustling London East End, on the fringe of London’s Square Mile, and close to the Northern Line! There are a huge number of bars and restaurants in the area and I think it is without a doubt one of the best neighbourhoods to explore in London. It is ideally situated to have access to some of the best bars in Shoreditch and also be quite convenient to the Angel neighbourhood. Within a 15 minute walk, you can be at some of the best bars and restaurants in London, including Nightjar (just down the street and named some of the best cocktails in the world), Happiness Forgets, Portside Parlour, Joyeux Bordel (great late at night particularly), and the Clove Club. A short 10-15 minute walk north gets you to the lesser known but very charming canals, where you can take a walk and observe the houseboats or have a drink in little pubs like the Commissary. If art is more your thing, check out the Victoria Miro, one of the best galleries in London that has regular exhibitions from world class artists; and Pure Evil Gallery for street/pop art. However just walking around the area you will be see some fantastic examples of London’s street art. You could even take a tour with Urban Street Art Tours London if you would like to know more information about the art and artists who created them. Shoreditch has become popular for a reason – the nightlife here is amazing, there is art and style everywhere, and it’s a completely different crowd from the “typical” West London tourists might know. Of course you are easily accessible to the rest of the city, but once you’ve settled in here you may find it hard to leave the neighbourhood! Getting Around: The flat is an incredibly easy 1 minute walk from the Old Street tube station, which is on the Northern Line. The Northern Line runs 24 hours on Friday and Saturday nights (although the place where you actually want to be on Friday and Saturday nights is right in the neighbourhood of this apartment!). Liverpool Street station is just a 15 minute walk away. This is one of London’s main terminals and has connections to the National Rail, Central, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines. Kings Cross is under 10 minutes on the tube, and Piccadilly is only 20 minutes on the tube, so you are very centrally located! For any guests coming to or from the airports, Heathrow is around 1 hour 20 minutes on the Piccadilly line and Gatwick is about 1 hour by tube and train. Gatwick Airport: 55 minutes by tube and train, The London Eye: 24 minutes on the tube I recall a previous description had the flat a crazy distance from Kings Cross (like 30 minutes)…that has since been deleted. Kings Cross 10 minutes Shoreditch High Street (walking) 12 minutes St Pauls (walking) 15 minutes West End 25 minutes Gatwick 60 minutes Heathrow 70 minutes Other Things to Note: Please note that last-minute reservations being made within 24 hours from the arrival date are subject to a change in check-in time of 6 P.M instead of 3 P.M.
