The house includes 2 master bedrooms with a king bed in each and a third bedroom with 3 twins (bunkbed and single). The giant couch can function as a bed for a single person. Feel free to cook meals in the open kitchen - we have the basics on hand! We are a short 10 minute drive to Devil's Thumb Ranch, 15 minutes to Winter Park Resort and 25 minutes to Hot Sulphur Springs! Our place is perfect for families or friends, wedding guests, ski bums and bunnies, couples, and anyone that loves the outdoors! A breezy 15 minutes will get you to Winter Park itself! Come home from an active day and sink into our giant couch, stare out our massive windows facing the mountains, and sip some hot cocoa by the fire. We have movies, we have books, we have cozy beds and enough space for privacy even within your own party. The home is also just 10 minutes from the illustrious Devil’s Thumb Ranch for your cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and horseback riding needs. They also have spa services available as well as multiple food options. A 25 minute drive in the opposite direction from Winter Park will get you to Hot Sulphur Springs where you can soak in the natural hot mineral waters; great for recovery after a long day of skiing or mountain biking! 30 minutes will also get you to the beautiful, historic town of Grand Lake! If you have some extra time, it is worth checking out this gem by the water! Pole Creek Golf Club is also within minutes of the house if you're looking to play a mountain course during the warm weather months. Please note that there is an additional studio unit on the lower level of the house that will be available for rent. If you would like to rent it for a party of 10 total, please contact the host. Otherwise, the studio unit might be rented out during your stay, though the levels are completely separate and should cause no interruption. You will have full and exclusive access to; both decks, laundry room, kitchen, living room, dining room and the rest of the bedrooms and bathrooms that are listed here. There is a walk-out basement in the house that will sometimes be rented out by other Air BnB guests, or used by the owners. However, the guests of the downstairs unit will not have access to anything listed on this ad; as they have their own entrance, kitchen, living/sleeping space and bathroom. If you would like to rent this space and have access to the main house and basement which will sleep 10 comfortably; please inquire. We live in Denver so in most cases, we will not be there to meet you during your stay. However, there is a chance that we will be using the basement unit during your stay and if so, we would love to meet you! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions during your stay. Most things can be worked through over the phone, but worst-case we do have boots-on-the-ground in Winter Park should anything need additional attention. All roads leading to the driveway are maintained. However, if you are coming here during the winter it is recommended that you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Berthoud Pass can get very snowy and is intimidating for the uninitiated winter driver. *Dec 2018 - The fireplace is currently out of order. We apologize for the inconvenience! This is a quiet neighborhood just off Hwy 40. There is a park for children to play at, and walking trails for anyone interested. Please respect our neighbors and treat them and the home like you would your own. Unless you don't treat your own home or neighbors with respect; in which case, please respect ours. :) You will want to have a vehicle, preferably 4 wheel drive, in order to get around in Grand County. We are just a few minutes off Hwy 40 which will take you wherever you want to go!
