Summary: Charming hosts and v.friendly, but these sc apartments are very small and extremely expensive. At 195/night I do not expect the bedroom black out blind to be held in place by 2 flint stones. An all night rattling blind meant we did not get a decent nights sleep for 4 nights. Only the bedroom had windows and therefore the apartment was either dark and stuffy or very hot. Black out blind tracks would solve the problem easily and cheaply. The front garden was a building site and the rear an unkempt wilderness, where we were eaten alive by the local insect population. We were only told about the external landscaping works on 13/8/21, too late to cancel and as an aside the hosts said that would be between us and VRBO. I would like to know whether Claron Lodge is registered with Chichester DC/local tourist board, because we shall be registering a strong complaint and I am contemplating seeking redress through the small claims court for misrepresentation. Clearly in its current state Claron Lodge is not fit for purpose.
