This 150 year old barn is one of seven unique properties, re-developed in 2017, set around a peaceful courtyard, within minutes of the Cornish Riviera.
Exposed beams and high ceilings give a feeling of space throughout. This single story, eco-friendly barn, offers a cosy, year-round retreat with wood burning stove, mood lighting and underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump.

The space
The Milking Parlour has been renovated to a high specification. The eco-friendly development has its own water source, ground source heat pump and bio-digestor.
A peaceful retreat and much loved property. The beds are comfortable; the sofas are stylish and relaxing; the rain showers are fabulous; the kitchen is well equipped; and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area to keep family and friends entertained.
The front door opens into the entrance hall (slate floor, coat hooks, shoe racks and large store cupboard) then into the beautifully appointed, light and spacious, open-plan living area with slate flooring and exposed beams.
The kitchen/dining area has a fan assisted range cooker (triple oven), 5 ring induction hob plus plate warmer and plenty of pans and utensils to make a warming Sunday roast. There is a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The dining table comfortably seats six (four chairs and a padded bench).
Two large, sumptuous John Lewis velvet sofas are arranged around the Wall-mounted TV (tilt and swivel bracket for ease of viewing). The stylish Aga wood burner adds to the cosy feel. The array of lighting options highlight the beautiful exposed original Pentewan stone wall and create a wonderful ambiance.
Two sets of French doors lead out to the enclosed courtyard terrace on one side and the patio and garden on the other.
There is only one step inside the property which connects the living area via the wide hallway to three king size bedrooms and the family bathroom (WC, large walk-in rain shower, large bath, basin and heated towel rail). The hallway and bedrooms all feature engineered oak flooring.
The master suite has a king bed with Hypnos mattress, en-suite WC and shower room (walk-in rain shower, plus additional hand held attachment, basin and heated towel rail). French doors open from the bedroom to the gravel courtyard garden with views to the fields beyond.
The two additional guest rooms have zip and link beds which can easily be split into a combination of king and/or single beds, also with deep, comfortable mattresses. (Note: as standard, guest rooms are set as Kings but can
be set in a combination of King/Twins as required. Please state room set up required at the time of booking).
There are two enclosed gardens.
At the rear: The lawned garden and rear paved patio provide access to and from the upper car parking area via a dozen or so steps via a mid terraced seating area. There is a hot and cold outside tap (useful for dog or bike washing) and rotary washing line.
To the front: The gravel courtyard garden with comfortable seating is a perfect spot to breakfast in the morning sun or watch the bats and birds at dusk. There is a range of comfortable garden furniture overlooking the central communal courtyard and views of the fields beyond. Access to both the open plan kitchen and to the master bedroom via 2 sets of French doors.

MOBILE RECEPTION:
There is no mobile reception inside the property however the Wifi is good (50mbps) and you simply switch on wifi calling on your handset to make and receive calls and texts.
INFANTS:
Travel cot, highchair and bedguard available. (Please request in advance).
DOGS:
This property welcomes two small or medium sized well behaved dogs for a fee of £25 per dog (please keep dogs off the furniture and beds). Due to livestock in the vicinity, dogs must be kept under control. Please always clean up after your dogs including in both the private and communal gardens. A additional cleaning fee of £25 per dog will be charged if the housekeeper has to clean mess from the garden(s).
COUNTRY LIVING:
The barn is located across the lane from a working dairy farm. Flies and smells are an inevitable part of country living, more so in the summer months.
