Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Very quiet location on the edge of the village, with various archaeological sites - Medinet Habu temple, Colossi of Memnon, Ramesseum, and more - in walking distance. Lovely roof terrace with a view over the mountains, and of the early balloon flights coming past.
Negative: It is right in the edge of the village, so shopping and eating are not ideal (we used the hotel restaurant a couple of times, and the tagines were very good).
Summary: A really nice stay on the edge of the mountains. The host, Mohamed, couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.
