Positive: Lovely quiet area with beautiful scenery. Walking distance to indoor pool, pub, and donkey sanctuary. Cosy house, with lots of space in the living room.
Negative: Google maps were less than helpful in attempts to find the place. Unfortunately, the main table leg was broken, making it awkward to move. Hoover was held together with a plaster. The hot tub had no privacy being right next to the road and everyone walking past. We had to use our towels to clean the black sludge out due to dirt and mould from the decking above. Also, the decking chairs had rust and mould growing on them. We spoke to one of the workers who said he would replace the towels, we also called, but they never did get replaced, and the lodge did not have a washing machine or dryer to clean them. The fridge was on the wrong setting, as we learned later, when kids got tummy flu and we had to get rid of our food. Due to one of the children being in a bad state, he ended up being sick on one of the towels. As there were no facilities to clean it and nobody came to replace the towels, washing and drying it by hand was not an easy task. In the end, we had to leave a day early...
