On the property near the main house are 3 self-catering cottages equipped with the basics for a holiday, a shared swimming pool, beautiful mature garden, large BBQ area, small laundry room & large shared patio for Internet access. Shared areas like the swimming pool and gardens are spacious enough to enable social distancing during the pandemic. VICTOR COTTAGE Victor cottage is the smallest of the cottages. Sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 with bunk beds, 1 bathroom/shower, living area and kitchenette with counter with seating for 4. The cottage overlooks the garden, swimming pool and has peaceful countryside views. Large BBQ area by the swimming pool. INTERNET & TV There is a TV with local channels. There is shared internet in a large outdoor patio in the garden. If guests want internet in their cottages they may rent internet either as a portable hotspot/dongle or sim card from Portugalinternet.com and have it delivered to cottages or pick up at airport. According to our guests they offer excellent service, fast unlimited internet, easy pick up and return. Prepaid service and no roaming costs. Check out their website for more information. CLEANING The self-catering cottages will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before every check-in. Cleaning material and products will be available in the cottages for your convenience. Further cleaning and change of sheets and towels will depend on length of stay. SHARED LAUNDRY Each cottage is allowed access to the main house laundry room. Short term stays are allowed one wash per week and long stays (28 nights or more) are allowed 2 washes per week. MEET AND GREET Guests will be welcomed by the owners who live at the main house if you need any assistance or information. Check-in time is from 4pm and check-out is at 10am. LONG STAYS (28 nights or more) The cottages are available for self catering long stays at a discounted rate from November to April. Long stay rates in winter are for 2 people. Additional guests may be considered after consulting with owners and extra charges will apply. Utilities such as 1 full bottle of gas and water is included. Electricity is additional and charged as used by the meter reading and paid through the VRBO platform. A clean set of sheets/covers and towels will be supplied every two weeks. A thorough cleaning once a month is included in the rate. If you wish to have additional cleaning this can be organised and extra charges will apply. GETTING AROUND The cottages are about 10-15 minutes away by car from the beaches, town centre, marina, and supermarket, railway station & bus depot. Rental car recommended. With around 300 days of sunshine a year and idyllic temperatures averaging 14ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer - and rarely going below 10ºC during winter and reaching as high as 28ºC or 30ºC in July and August.
