This quaint, romantic spot will check off all your boxes for a perfect getaway - river front, private, natural setting, quiet and all the comforts of home! Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country you will enjoy two-lane winding roads, pristine rivers, mountain views and old-fashioned hospitality. Life is good. Hidden River Retreat is a private, self-catering guest house just off of the beaten path, yet close to area activities. The hill country town of Utopia is a short 15 mile drive and you'll find a variety of eating establishments, including the Laurel Tree Guest Table Restaurant and it's popular private treehouse dining room built by Pete Nelson's Treehouse Masters. Utopia City Park is only a short drive and is the place to be for the July 4th Fireworks display (best in the hill country), June Rodeo/Dance and other seasonal activities. Within a 60 mile radius you will find plenty to do - a visit to Bandera, self-proclaimed Cowboy Capital of the World where you'll find cowboys, rodeos, shopping, dining and seasonal activities, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives' favorite Mac & Ernie's Roadside Eatery in Tarpley, Garner State Park, Concan, Leakey and the Frio River. ATT customers will have intermittent cell service throughout the area and the River Retreat does have satellite tv and WiFi. The cool, clear waters of the Sabinal River lie right outside your door.
