DESCRIPTION: Summerwind is a striking 4 bedroom 4 1/2 bath home with a pool and hot tub. When you first walk down the beautiful stone stairway from the driveway, your eyes will be immediately drawn to the views looking out over Coral Bay, the east end of St. John and the British Virgin Islands. Be sure to have your cameras ready as the colorful red lounge chairs, lush green vegetation and breathtaking ocean views make this setting, picture-perfect.
The modern design of the home consists of two buildings with the pool and hot tub being the centerpiece of this lovely villa. To the left is the main house with the kitchen, living and dining areas and 1/2 bath as well as a covered deck that runs the entire length of the main house. To the right of the pool there is an exterior staircase which takes you down to the second building which houses 3 bedrooms, with the 4th bedroom being located under the main house.
The pool and sundeck were sited to capture sun most of the day, and with the big (36 ft) covered deck provides a lovely outdoor shaded area with superb views for those who want to stay out of the sun. The hot tub is tucked into a private corner of the sundeck and in the evenings, it is a perfect spot to relax while gazing up to the twinkling stars in the evening sky.

LOCATION: On the drive from Cruz Bay to Coral Bay, and a few miles before you reach Coral Bay, you pass over Bordeaux Mountain. At an elevation of 1200 feet Bordeaux is St John's highest mountain, and it is also the site of some very private luxury villas. Summerwind is located in a peaceful and unspoiled location on Bordeaux Mountain, only about a 1/4 mile off Centerline Road (St. John's main road). At an elevation of about 1000 feet, the down island views and clothing optional privacy and tranquility are excellent. The view overlooks Coral Bay, the east end of St. John, the Sir Francis Drake Channel and many of the British Virgin Islands. It sweeps from Sandy Key in the northwest, past Tortola and Virgin Gorda and the other British islands that lie to the east.
Despite being in a pristine location, Summerwind is a paved 15-20 minute drive into Cruz Bay, 10-15 minutes into the smaller town of Coral Bay and a 10-15 minute drive to the National Park beaches on the North Shore.
LIVING & DINING: The air-conditioned great room includes beautiful marble floors and cathedral ceilings that have been beautifully accented with stylish furnishings creating an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The screened sliding glass doors open to 36' covered deck, with comfortable outdoor furniture and amazing views looking out over Coral Bay and the British Virgin Islands. For entertainment, the living room includes a flat screen TV with Roku for streaming, a DVD player, a stereo with CD and internet.
For dining, you have an interior table that seats 6-8 and an exterior table on the covered deck which seats 4. Both enjoy the same fabulous views.
KITCHEN: The kitchen has a clean and modern look and is provided with a 4-burner gas stove and oven, a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffeemaker, toaster and all other kitchen ware necessary to prepare and serve tantalizing meals for 2-8 persons. There is a gas grill on the deck and a laundry room with a washer/dryer.
BEDROOMS: All the bedrooms are fully screened and air conditioned and all have private tiled baths and views of the water. The master bedroom (king bed) is down a few stairs off the pool deck. This bedroom is larger than the other three bedrooms and with its marble floors, cathedral ceiling and appealing decor it is quite lovely and romantic. The master has a marble tiled bath with a tiled indoor shower and a stone outdoor shower. The three guest bedrooms, 2- kings and 1- queen, are fully screened and are similar in size and decor.
