Ready to escape to the beach and feel the sand between your toes? You have come to the right place. Athena Ares Condominiums is located almost directly across from the beach access. It takes less than 5 minutes to get to the water!
South Padre has so many wonderful activities for your family to participate in while you are on the island. Just across Padre Island Boulevard are several restaurants and bars are within walking distance. South Padre Island enjoys a unbelievable variety of amusement amenities, including fishing, swimming, wind surfing, beach buggy rides, horseback riding, party cruises and a huge variety of water sports along the most beautiful gulf coast of South Texas. Your guests and family will also enjoy visiting well-known attractions such as The Birding Center, Turtle Rescue Center, Horseback Riding and Petting Center, and Museums. Shopping, restaurants with a variety of cuisines, and beach front clubs and bars are located throughout the island on our three major boulevards: Padre Island Blvd Gulf Blvd and Laguna Blvd. Another popular attraction is an eight-mile ride North to the end of the of Hwy 100. There you will find beautiful sand dunes and a natural beach setting that is admired by travelers from all over the world. There are two drive-on beach accesses that allow you to drive north on the beach for over 20 miles.
We have 6 identical 2 bedroom/2 bath condos in our building. Each condo is a spacious 1100 square feet with an open floor plan. The living area consists of a sofa with a queen sleeper, 2 recliners, large HDTV, Roku player, extended cable, CD player, and ceiling fan. The dining area has a table, a side bar that is fully stocked with barware, and sliding door access to the balcony. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, bakeware, cookware, place settings, glasses, plasticware for children and for the grill, blender, toaster, and crock pot. There is a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator with ice maker.
The bedrooms both have HDTVs, Roku players (living room), large closets, and ceiling fans. The master bedroom has an En suite, king size bed. The guest room has a queen bed and access to the bathroom from the bedroom. That bathroom also has access from the living room. The living room has a sofa sleeper.
Our custom swimming pool is large with a tanning ledge and seating in the water. The pool is heated in the winter months. We also have a spacious spa that is heat year around. There is a pool house which has a full restroom, outdoor showers, a food prep area and a gas grill. There is also wi-fi available at the pool.
New upgrades in each unit: Keurig coffee maker, Berlin Gardens outdoor pool furniture, 6 camp beach chairs, 1 Tommy Bahama beach umbrella, 6 beach towels and a beach wagon. Custom outdoor pool table and outdoor TV in the pool area.
There is a washer and dryer in each unit for your convenience.
There are 2 designated parking spaces for each condo.
We allow 6 guests maximum in each unit.
We are directly across the street from the beach and there is a beach access approximately 150ft. from the building. We are as close as you can get without being beach front. We are actually closer to the beach than many of the large beachfront condo buildings.
Athena Ares is a pet friendly, family vacation rental. We proudly honor all military and law enforcement with a 10% discount off the nightly rate. The traveler securing the reservation must be 25 years of age or older. For Spring Break / Semana Santa all rental guests must comply with a family's only restriction. We encourage all guests to obtain travel insurance. A small welcome package is provided which includes 1 roll of paper towels in each kitchen, 1 trash can liner in each trash can, liquid hand soap by each sink, liquid dish soap in the kitchen and 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom.
