ABOUT CASA CHIANTI CLASSICO
This beautifully appointed, spacious 3-bedroom and 2 bathrooms first floor apartment lies in the main building of this tastefully restored hamlet right in the centre of San Sano, in the heart of the chianti Classico region. The apartment covers a surface of 98 sqm ca. with plenty of natural light in all rooms, with large ambiences. We enter the apartment from an internal hall directly to the open plan kitchen/dining/living room of generous proportions, with a fully fitted and build in kitchen with 5 rings gas hob, oven, fridge and freezer, dishwasher; a dining table and chairs for 6 people, a sofa and two soft chairs, TV. Off the living room is a convenient storage room with washing machine, excellent for storing garden furniture and soft furniture.Off to one side of the living area is the largest of the 3 bedrooms, a double bedroom with ensuite with shower, which can easily have also a third bed added should be needed. On the other side of the living room, up two steps, we find another hallway leading to the main bathroom with shower, and to each side of it are the other two bedrooms, both generous double bedrooms with windows opening onto the back of the property. Complete the property a private garden within the communal park, separate from th eapartment,around 40 sqm, not super large, but enough to have private dining outdoor area with barbecue, only few steps away from the beautiful swimming pool surrounded by a very large communal garden. From the pool you can also reach the private and covered car park with reserved spaces, and the car entrance to the resort through the vineyards.The property is fully functional with electricity, heating, cooking gas, all from the mains, satellite TV. Internet is available but not fully reliable due to the location in the hills, suggested to have your own roaming plan. The location is superb; while on one side you are in a village with local residents hence not completely isolated, and you have the comfort of a restaurant and shop within walking distance, on the other side absolutely private and quiet, with separate garden, panoramic pool and views. Public transport also services the village, which is smack centre in the chianti region.
ABOUT THE RESORT
We find ourselves in the quiet and so typically Tuscan village of San Sano, few minutes drive from Gaiole in Chainti, and only 15 minutes away from Siena, smack in the middle of the Chianti Classico region. Driving to San Sano is an experience in itself, coming up this hill via a cypress tree road and passing by the amazing vineyards of Antinori which cover the hills on all sides, ending up in this small but characteristic village, with an excellent restaurant right at your doorstep, and a small shop for your first necessities.Within San Sano, lies this hamlet comprising of various buildings and park, which was fully restored in 2005, in a sympathetic fashion, maintaining all the original features such as exterior stone walls, terracotta tiled floors, and chestnut beam ceilings. The properties are spread over a private park, with walkways, private gardens, a stunning swimming pool, and also a small vineyard of which the wine productions get’s shared among the owners.
