This is an agriturismo near Torgiano, in Umbria, just 10 minutes from Assisi and Perugia. It offers comfortable holiday apartments near Gubbio and the lake Lago Trasimeno. La Collina dei Ciliegi is a restored country house in Umbria, built in the 18th century. It lies at around 300 metres above sea level, in the Media Valle of the Tiber. It enjoys an especially sunny location and affords a unique panoramic view of the valley, Perugia and other localities.
There are apartments for 2 to 6 people and each bears the name of a bird. The apartments are tastefully furnished and are all equipped with heating, a telephone, satellite TV, a living room with a kitchen unit (four-ring hob, oven, fridge, crockery), a large bathroom with a shower (one apartment has a bath with massage jets) and an electronic WC. Five apartments feature a fireplace. Bed linen is provided and is changed weekly (more often on request). As each apartment is equipped with a kitchen, guests enjoy complete independence.
The country house is surrounded by a fully fenced 50,000m² site with a variety of trees, in whose shade you can enjoy the panorama in peace and quiet. Situated centrally in the park, there are a swimming pool (25m long) and a tennis court. There is also a football ground (40 x 80m) on site. A wood barbecue is available for grilling and you can dine outdoors under a pergola.
La Collina dei Ciliegi is open all year round, for stays from Saturday to Saturday or other days on request.
You can pursue a variety of sports here: tennis, swimming, riding excursions (nearby riding stables ca. 1km), jogging or football. Or you can visit the archaeological excavations and art cities in the area. There are shops and restaurants with local cuisine nearby where you can get to know the traditional dishes of the region. You can also attend wine and olive oil tastings.
